AMP Customers Warned Of Scam
Contact police if you think you've been scammed.

ALAMEDA, CA —Alameda Municipal Power is advising customers that an individual is impersonating an AMP employee in an attempt to solicit illegitimate payments.
In some cases, the scammer has instructed AMP customers to go to a CVS pharmacy to complete the payment.
Alameda Municipal Power officials stressed that they would never require customers to provide payment information over the phone and ask that customers refrain from providing their information to any callers who demand payment on AMP accounts.
Anyone who suspects they have been targeted by this scam is asked to contact the Alameda Police Department at (510) 337-8340 to file a report.
