Artistic Alameda: Photos Of The Day

Four images from Alameda that have been digitally altered.

ALAMEDA, CA — Seth Marbin has shared four photos that he took in Alameda. The photos have been digitally manipulated, transforming them into art that he calls Portals for People.

He explains the name on his website, "These portals are for your enjoyment. They are visually interesting, pleasurable, and stimulating. They are meant to entice and excite your senses, bring joy and color to your life, and encourage reflection on the world around you. Some people like to know the origins of the original photo that led to the image you see as a portal. Other people like to simply enjoy them as pieces of representational or abstract art. It's up to you!"

Seth sells the images, with 50 percent of the revenue going to "an organization working to directly benefit people and our planet." Look for his email link.
