Bank of Marin in Alameda to Donate 800 Pounds of Food, Money to Alameda Food Bank
Bank of Marin's Alameda branch hosted its first successful "Shred Day" and collected canned food for the local food bank.

Bank of Marin’s Alameda branch hosted its first successful “Shred Day” on Thursday, October 2. In addition to bringing boxes of documents for shredding, the community was encouraged to donate at least one package or can of food.
Almost 800 pounds of food was collected and will be donated to the Alameda Food Bank, which provides nutritious food to the low-income residents of the City of Alameda. In addition, 4,500 pounds of documents were shredded and the paper pulp will be recycled and used for new paper goods.
Bank of Marin supports food banks throughout the North and East Bay and plans to donate $1,000 to the Alameda Food Bank.
