Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter (FAAS) is located at 1590 Fortmann Way, Alameda. The hours are 11AM - 7PM on Wednesdays, and 11AM - 5PM Thursday - Sunday. Please visit the FAAS website at www.alamedaanimalshelter.org or call 510-337-8565.
To adopt from FAAS, you'll need to bring everyone who lives in the household to meet the pet. Please also bring proof of homeownership or if you rent, bring your lease indicating you can have a pet. If you are adopting a dog and there is already a dog in your household, the dogs will need to meet prior to adoption.
