Berkeley Police Seek Strong-Arm Robber

The robbery happened Sunday at a business on Kittredge Street.

BERKELEY, CA — Berkeley police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect who allegedly committed a strong-armed robbery in Berkeley early Sunday morning.

According to police, the suspect entered the Touchless Car Wash convenience station at 2176 Kittredge St. around 1:30 a.m., grabbed a pack of cigarettes and attempted to leave.

The clerk tried to block the exit before being pushed out of the way by the suspect, who walked away westbound on Kittredge Street.

A photo of the suspect has not been released.

Police said the suspect is described as a being between 6 foot 3 inches and 6 foot 5 inches tall, weighing around 250 to 280 pounds with dark skin. He was last seen wearing a black jacket over a gray-hooded sweatshirt and a red shirt seen sticking out from the sweatshirt.
