Police first received reports of the man standing in the middle of Shoreline Drive and yelling at people.

ALAMEDA, CA - Alameda police chased a yelling man around the city this morning before finally taking him into custody.
Police first received reports of the man just after 8 a.m., saying he was near the beach. The caller told police that the man was standing in the middle of Shoreline Drive near Park Street and yelling at people. But when officers arrived, the man had already gotten into a car and left the area, police said.
About 10 minutes later, police received another call about a road rage incident about two miles away at Washington Park, believed to involve the same man. Police showed up and tried to detain the man, but he fled in his car.
