Body Found Update: Cause of Death Revealed
The coroner's office conducted an autopsy on Friday, the police department reports.

ALAMEDA, CA — A woman whose body was found Thursday as first responders investigated reports of a brush fire near Veterans Memorial Park died as a result of suicide, police reported Friday afternoon. Her name has not been released, but she is described as a middle aged white woman.
The woman was from Oakland and had been reported missing. Investigators interviewed her family. They "corroborated the coroner’s preliminary finding," police said in a release.
They added, "Out of respect for the grieving family members, no further details will be provided at this time."
