My Neighbor Called the Police Again for False Complain
My neighbor calls the police very often.
Most mothers who have young age children may understand that every second counts on the morning of a school day.
Every school day morning, I need to take my eight year-old son to school in Alameda by 7:55 a.m., and my five year-old son to another school in San Leandro by 8:25 a.m. After I drop them off to school, I go to Merritt College in Oakland to my classes since I am a return college student.
This morning, as usual, we were in a hurry of getting out of the house, but my neighbor stopped us the moment we walked out the door, he said because he heard lots of noise while we were walking out the door and he is calling the police! So he did.

The police came and talked to my landlady and filed a report. Since I had already left the house, I don't know what was in the conversation between the police and my landlady.
that my neighbor and the Alameda police teamed up to come up with the solution, just for us: We are not free to walk within our own side of the house property line, we should tip-toe and zip and always walk at the other side of the house to avoid making any noise that he may hear us when we walk at the side way that is between his house and our side of the house, even though there is a tall wooden fence inbetween our property lines.

According one of the comments I received from that previous post, I found the Alameda of California Code of Ordinances: Chapter IV - Article II - Noise Regulation - 4-10.
However the noise control article does not have any regulation apply to normal human voice. The Article states that if birds or animals make noises continuously for a period of 10 minutes or intermittently for 30 minutes or more, then the owner may receive a citation from the police.
The Alameda Police who came to handle the complaint must know about this article very well. The police know they have no reason to give out a citation ticket to us for walking within our own property line. They must also know that we did not violate any noise regulation rules if there are any.
If every Alameda resident calls the police everyday to regulate the noise from people's daily talking and walking, I am wondering how much more of the tax money that the city would like to spend on hiring more police forces for the City of Alameda?
