Bald Eagles Nesting at Lake Chabot

Local bald eagles at Lake Chabot have successfully fledged a new eaglet, part of the continuing success story of our National symbol.

Flying proudly over our largest local lake, and with our nation's birthday just past, a pair of young bald eagles has fledged a new eaglet into our skies.  Hatched on Earth Day and fledged near the 4th of July, the eaglet is part of the continuing success story of a species brought back from the verge of extinction.  For more of the story, follow this link to my KQED QUEST blog.
