FAAS greatly appreciates this honor and is grateful to the Mayor, City Council, and all city departments for the unique city/nonprofit partnership that is working so well.
Thanks to local businesses
For the past year, Urban Island Home Furnishings has been holding special consignment sales to benefit the homeless pets at the Alameda Animal Shelter. To date, they have raised more than $2,800. These funds will provide critical medical care and special enrichment activities to keep the shelter animals healthy and happy while they await adoption.
Recently, Tomatina’s Restaurant raised more than $900 by giving FAAS 20% of a full day’s meal receipts. The restaurant was packed for both lunch and dinner and was busy throughout the day.
Community support from businesses like Urban Island and Tomatina’s helps us toward our goal of finding a new home for all the adoptable animals at the shelter. Thank you, Alameda businesses!!
