Free Pet Adoptions at Animal Shelter This Weekend
Now is the time to bring a new cat or dog into your household! On Saturday and Sunday, June 9 and 10, all adoptions are free at the Alameda Animal Shelter.
Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter (FAAS) is participating in a blowout weekend adoption event to place all of our dogs and cats in qualified homes. Free adoptions of dogs and cats will be offered throughout the weekend at the Alameda Animal Shelter in addition to more than 80 other locations throughout Alameda, Contra Costa and San Francisco Counties. In return, Maddie's Fund will pay each shelter or rescue group from $500 to $2,000 per adoption!

Maddie's® Matchmaker Adoptathon is being held to increase awareness of shelter animals and their need for loving homes and to shed light on the tireless efforts of the shelters and rescue organizations in Alameda, Contra Costa and San Francisco Counties that work so hard to save the lives of countless dogs and cats every day.
