Hooping in Alameda
Come to Betty's Hula Hooping class in Alameda. Stimulate your cerebellum!

As an entrepreneur, I need to find a way to get out of my home office at night and get some exercise. But — I want it to be fun! Thank goodness there is another entrepreneur out there — Betty Lucas, who has set up such a class.
My friend and a great marketing coach for small businesses, Allison Bliss, introduced me to this fabulous class on Monday nights in Alameda. It works on your core strength and the hour flies by. We learn, hoop to music and end with a short hooping routine. Amazing!
I was recently flying Southwest and read an article on hooping in their magazine Spirit. They quoted Dr. Stuart Brown of the National Institute of Play: "The balance and coordination required to Hula-Hoop stimulates the cerebellum and fosters a great deal of growth in the prefrontal cortex, which controls executive function and planning. It also creates new connects in the spinal cord, which allow you to be more agile over time. This happens in both kids and adults."

Given that information, I think all entrepreneurs should be hooping! Come by on Mondays at 6:30 p.m. in Alameda.
