Three actions to take after attending a networking event.
You prepared for a networking event. You went to the networking event. Now after the event, what should you do?

- Write the date and the name of the event on the back of each business card you pick up. Send a brief email saying it was great to meet you, “I enjoyed our conversation about…“ Maybe you can offer to share something you talked about. “Here’s an article you might be interested in."
- When you follow up, it makes a huge impression. Notice how you feel when someone follows up with you.
- If you have an e-newsletter, send it to your new contacts with an intro: “Thought you might be interested in this. If you prefer not to receive it, simply unsubscribe."
So don’t forget those three stages to successful networking, before, during and after. It will make all the difference.
