La Penca Azul's Burrito Eating Contest Winner Crowned

ALAMEDA, CA — A popular item on the weekend Alameda Patch calendar was a burrito eating contest at La Penca Azul of Bay Farm. The call for contestants was simple: "6 participants only. Burrito info: 24 inch flour tortilla filled with steak, beans, rice, lettuce & cheese. First person to finish the entire burrito wins. Your choice of beverage including beer is included. Do you think you can take down a 24 inch burrito? Do you know someone who can?"
