Commuter Alert: High Street Bridge Closure Planned for Repairs
Save the date for this closure. Officials say detour signs will help guide you around the construction.

Announcement from Alameda County:
The Alameda County Public Works Agency will begin the last phase of the rehabilitation and repair work on the High Street Bridge, between the cities of Oakland and Alameda, on Monday, October 26, 2015. This repair work will require the High Street Bridge to be CLOSED to all vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic, Monday through Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., through November 25, 2015.
There will also be some limitations to marine traffic. The US Coast Guard will communicate this information in its weekly “Coast Guard Local Notices to Mariners.”

Detour signs will be in place to guide motorists around the bridge closure. When travelling through the detour areas, motorists are advised to exercise caution and adhere to all traffic regulations.
