Corks, Forks, Rhythm & Brews: New Boys & Girls Club Fundraiser

Enjoy delicacies from top Bay Area chefs, top wine and beer, plus live music ... and all for a great cause in Alameda!

ALAMEDA, CA — Heads up, supporters of the Alameda Boys & Girls Club: A new fundraising event, dubbed "Corks, Forks, Rhythm & Brews," is planned this year featuring California’s best wineries, spirits, breweries, gourmet food, restaurants and live music.

Planned for Saturday, Oct. 5 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., the benefit will be held at scenic Alameda Point, hosting the chef from Alameda’s Trabocco Kitchen and Cocktails, along with other industry influencers, along with live entertainment from Super Diamond, a Neil Diamond tribute band, The Love Handles and local singer songwriter Rachel Rolleri, according to organizers.

“We are overwhelmed with joy to see Corks, Forks, Rhythm & Brews come to fruition,” Boys & Girls Club CEO Jeff Miller said. “The community has truly come together to rally behind the Alameda Boys & Girls Club, and we look forward to delivering an unforgettable festival experience for the entire Bay Area. We can’t thank our exhibitors and sponsors enough for their excitement, enthusiasm, and participation in what we anticipate to be a one-of-a kind experience."

The current festival line-up, to date, includes such affiliates as Drake’s Brewing Co., Bent Creek Winery, Park St. Tavern, Calicraft Brewing Co., Angela’s Kitchen, Magnolia Brewing Co., Wood Tavern, Sidestreet Pho, Rock Wall Wine Co., Grilled Cheez Guy, Alameda Island Brewing Company, Taylor Family Vineyards, Almanac Beer Co. and Faction Brewing.

The Alameda Boys & Girls Club serves to enable all youth to realize their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens. Founded in 1949, ABGC provides programs and services for youth, ages 6-18, with activities held day and evening, specifically targeting low-income and at-risk youth.
