The East Bay Sanctuary Covenant began in 1982 during the time of the civil wars in El Salvador and Nicaragua when so many fled for their lives to the U.S. Their activities have accelerated recently this past summer during the recent influx of children, mostly from Honduras, to the U.S. border. They are providing legal services and a place for these unaccompanied children to stay. See more about EBSC at www.eastbaysanctuary.org
