The guttural calls are the first clue you're getting close to the nest site. For such a beautiful, elegant bird, their calls are anything but. We're very lucky to have both Snowy Egrets and Great Egrets nesting in a colony behind the Harbor Bay Landing Shopping Center. You have an opportunity to learn more about them and take a tour of the colony site with volunteer Cindy Margulis and Kristin Butler from the San Francisco Bay Bird Observatory this coming Sunday, May 19 at 2pm.
