FOR ALL COFFEE AFICIONADO or NOVICE alike, you're cordially invited to a "Coffee Tasting" experience otherwise known as "Cupping" @ Cafe Q (the very 1st on the Island).
Co-hosts of the event will be Mayra Orellana-Powell of Catracha Coffee Co. & Alex Roberts of Roast Co. Catracha Coffee Co. is a grower company from Honduras & Roast Co. is our local roaster from West Oakland. They will be at our café to conduct the tasting of different beans in different parts of the world. They’ll explain why different regional coffee taste different from one another and how to “profile” them. The whole experience will alter your perspective of coffee and palate altogether, we guarantee it!
Another special guest we’re featuring is film-maker/ photographer Sarah Gerber of TwentyTwenty Studio. Sarah is making a documentary movie featuring a story of how one woman from Santa Elena, Honduras, makes her dream of helping her small coffee village economy comes true by bringing fresh, organic beans into the Bay Area world of coffee connoisseurs.
