3rd Annual Alameda Sports Exhibit

3rd Annual Alameda Sports Exhibit celebrates the City of Alameda's rich sports history.

Alameda has long been a hotbed of top youth and high school sports programs that have produced a number of outstanding college and professional athletes over the years. Some of the athletes to be featured in the exhibit are Dick Bartell, Willie Stargell, Jimmy Rollins, Dontrelle
Willis, Dottie Stolze, and Jason Kidd.

This year the exhibit will be recognizing the 20th Anniversary of the St. Joseph Notre Dame Pilots 1991 state basketball championship. This team was led by late head coach Frank LaPorte and point guard Jason Kidd.

The exhibit is co-sponsored by the Alameda Sports Project & the Alameda Museum and will run from October 15 - December 11, 2011. Exhibit location and hours: Alameda Museum, 2324 Alameda Avenue, Alameda, CA - Hours: Wednesday-Friday & Sunday, 1:30-4:00pm and Saturday, 11:00-4:00pm. Admission is FREE
