On Thursday, October 6th, at the Alameda Free Library Main Branch (1550 Oak Street), from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. there will be “An Evening of Art” celebrating the artistic diversity of both local children and adults living with physical and/or other limitations. The exhibition includes art in various forms – painting sculpture, and moving images. Two films are featured, both highlighting the lives of individuals living with disabilities and including points of view from their caregivers.
"The Commission looks forward to engaging the community about disability issues in a manner that will both educate and entertain," says Ethel Warren, Commission member and organizer for “An Evening of Art.”
