Everyone has their own way of showing love and affection on Valentine’s Day and this year Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill and Bar is displaying their appreciation to patrons by offering holiday specials February 10-14. These offers include a VIP dinner for two for $25, $15 bottles of Barefoot Chard and Merlot, and Valentine's Day cocktails like the “Flirtini.”
If you don’t have a significant other, take advantage of Applebees’ Late Night Party on February 14. From 9:00 p.m. to 12 midnight, singles can mingle and receive half-price appetizers, $2 small domestic drafts, $3 well drinks, $5 Jager Bombs, $1 Jell-O shots and $15 bottles of Barefoot wine.
Valentine’s Day is the perfect time for Bakersfield residents to check out Applebees’ newly renovated location at 9000 Ming Ave. Feb. 10 marks the anticipated re-grand opening event, although the restaurant is open during the construction process. The renovation will incorporate a remodeled interior and exterior with warmer color tones, contemporary design; features specific to the neighborhood the restaurant serves; service improvements; and new food and drink selections. This is part of a series of new designs Applebee’s is developing with a goal to complete the revitalization of all company-owned and franchise restaurants by 2014.

The renovations are intended to give guests a stronger connection to their individual neighborhoods; the pop-culture tchotchkes will be replaced by items specific to each restaurant. The most noticeable changes at the revamped Bakersfield restaurant include the replacement of the exterior striped awnings with oversized, contemporary ones that elongate the building and highlight the façade. Guests will also appreciate the changes beyond the bricks and mortar. New kitchen procedures mean guests receive fresh, hot meals faster than ever. Kitchen staff re-training emphasized the finer culinary points in preparing the restaurant’s most popular entrees. The company also re-certified team members to deliver superior service in a way that is uniquely Applebee’s.
