Jeff Magidson, renowned for his searing guitar work, was born in San Francisco into a family of musicians. In 1983, he went to France where he joined a 'Jug Band' playing acoustic Blues and Jazz. He spent the next twenty years playing various festivals all over Europe, sometimes soloing as a one man band, (playing simultaneously the bass drum, high hat, dobro, and harmonica) or with his trio under the name 'John Doe'.
