MOCHA Drop-In Art Extravaganza

On February 9 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. MOCHA (Museum of Children's Art in Oakland) presents a drop-in art extravaganza at the of the Alameda Free Library.

The theme of the afternoon will be "Alien World".

The library's website invites those who will be attending to imagine what life would look like on other worlds.

At the event they will be encouraged to draw a background of a road and horizon and then add shapes (blobs, squares and the like). The sillier the picture the better. Then add details to create a cityscape of another world. Imagine who lives there. What kind of foods do they eat? What games do they play? How do they get around?

Use your imagination.

The event is free and open to all ages.
