Nia Dance Jam at Rhythmix Cultural Works

Come out and dance while supporting the Arts! Nia is a mind-body fitness program – “movement medicine for the body and soul” – that provides a dynamic way to condition, heal and express yourself through a blend of dance arts, martial arts and healing arts. Delivering cardiovascular, whole-body conditioning, Nia offers a fun, creative pathway to health and well-being. Balancing technical precision with free-form expression, Nia brings the body, mind, emotions and spirit to optimum health, regardless of age or physical condition.

Join Nia teachers from all over the Bay Area for this uplifting workout! Proceeds from this event will support arts programming at Rhythmix Cultural Works, a non-profit community arts center committed to bringing people of all ages together through a wide range of affordable offerings in dance, music, theater, exhibitions and arts education. Previous dance experience is not required and all levels of fitness are welcome.

Rhythmix Cultural Works (RCW) is only five minutes from downtown Oakland off Hwy 880. RCW offers a beautifully renovated 150-seat theater, art gallery and classroom as affordable space for live performances, exhibitions, arts education and cultural exchange for youth, families and adults, and strives to encourage community awareness through participation in the arts.
