Pacifica Family Maternity Center, a licensed and accredited out-of-hospital birth center coming soon to the East Bay, will be holding a fundraiser movie and silent auction. We will be screening Laboring Under an Illusion: Mass Media Childbirth vs The Real Thing, with a Q&A session about the birth center with our founders, Cindy Haag and Sonja Cahoon, after the movie. There will be wine, cheese, and other refreshments. Some of the exciting silent auction items include a house concert with Bay Area singer/songwriter Megan Slankard, a massage with Kristan Trunzo, a photography session with Barbara Walker Photography, amazing wine, and many other items from local Bay Area businesses. Please come to support the creation of this new birth center serving women throughout our community!
