The public is invited to a reception for the Alameda Multicultural Community Center's 2012 Student Art Exhibit to be held in the Alameda Main Library's Community Meeting Rooms. The Student Art Exhibit features art from students of Encinal High School, Island High School and Wood Middle School.
The reception begins at 6pm with a performance by the Wood Middle School Guitar Class led by Music Teacher Anselmo Reis. At 6:30pm, a recognition of students and teachers will take place. Teachers are Warren Haber, Eric Schoeffler, Joan Schwartz and Marty Badja of Encinal High School; Melissa Ortiz of Island High School; and Lindsey Shepard of Wood Middle School.
The purpose of the Student Art Exhibit is to highlight student art in a public art space to provide recognition to students, teachers and schools, and to offer greater community access to student art.
