Ribbon Cutting for Angkor Grill

The , the , and the City of Alameda are proud to announce the grand opening of Angkor Grill, a new restaurant at 1319 Park Street.

Mayor Marie Gilmore will be present for the official ribbon cutting ceremony to be held on Tuesday, Feb. 8 at 4 p.m.

Angkor Grill joins a growing, vibrant restaurant scene in Alameda and is Alameda's first Cambodian eatery. Specialties include seafood and barbeque along with wine and beer.

Owner/operator Ricky Doh has run Phnom Penh House in Oakland's Chinatown for over 25 years and Phnom Penh in Oakland since 2004. Mr. Doh selected Alameda for his newest restaurant because of confidence in Alameda's Park Street Business District. "I like Alameda very much. I feel it has a good business community and good people. We are anxious to provide the community with high-quality Cambodian cuisine," said Mr. Doh.

Mr. Doh is a recipient of the City of Alameda’s Facade Assistance Program which provides design assistance and partial grant funding for building improvements. With Mr. Doh’s oversight, the building that the restaurant is in has recently undergone a facelift with a new paint job, lighting, awning, and window trims.

Angkor Grill, located at 1319 Park Street, will officially open on Feb. 9. The restaurant will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., with slightly later hours Friday and Saturday.
