All animals at Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter (FAAS) are FREE on Fridays during August. We are at critical mass with more than 60 highly adoptable, wonderful pets needing new homes.Visit the shelter at 1590 Fortmann Way, Alameda. The shelters hours are 11AM-7PM on Wednesdays, and Thursdays-Sundays from 11AM-5PM. We are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. If you have a dog and are adopting one, both dogs must meet prior to the adoption. Please also bring proof of home ownership or a rental lease saying you can have a pet.
