Gun Seized By Alameda Police During Arrest, APD reports
Police say a felon was watching for potential victims when police spotted him.

ALAMEDA, CA — Alameda Police arrested a felon for having a loaded gun after a short chase on the beach Wednesday night.
The foot pursuit began after undercover officers spotted the man parked on Shoreline Drive. They say he was "watching for potential victims." When they approached him, they say, he took off.
The man, whose name was not released, was arrested on suspicion of probation violation, being a felon in possession of a firearm, resisting arrest, and obliterating a serial number.
