Historic home and garden tour
Historic home and garden tour Saturday, July 23rd at 2021 Alameda Ave. between Chestnut and Willow.
Return to yesteryear at the handsomely furnished Meyers House, Alameda’s only historic home open regularly for tours. Your $5.00 admission includes a tour of the house, an architectural exhibit and a look at the studio where architects Henry Meyer and his daughter, Mildred worked. New to the exhibits is the restored carriage house gallery featuring the works of local artist Edwin Siegfried, (1889-1955) known as “Artist of the Marshlands” for his pictures depicting dawn and dusk on the salt marshes that once lined Alameda.
Docents are on hand to point out items of particular interest and answer questions. End your day with a stroll around the beautiful grounds. We are open from 1:00 until 4:00. Last admission to begin touring is at 3:00 p.m.
