Update: I-880 Reopens Following Complete Closure in East Bay
The interstate highway was closed in both directions because of downed power lines.

OAKLAND, CA — I-880 has reopened in Oakland after being shut down in both directions for about an hour, according to the California Highway Patrol. A Sig-alert has been canceled.
The mess started when a big rig hit a pole, sending power lines down onto the interstate highway. PG&E patched up the problem quickly.
The road closure was in the vicinity of High Street.
