Interview with South Shore Property Owner General Manager
Michael Phillips fielded questions about the company's plans.
Yes, Alamendans were pretty delighted earlier this summer when Jamestown, the company that bought the shopping center last November, back to South Shore.
At least I didn't hear from anyone who objected. Does anyone? (Though some had to the shopping center's new logo.)
Anyway, yesterday GlobeSt.com, a commercial real estate news site, interviewed Jamestown general manager Michael Phillips and asked him about his company's development plans.

A notable quote: "We look for innovative ways to enhance and improve what's already there, embracing the history of a site, rather than building something completely new."
He also said: "We emphasize quality over quantity without exception. This gives us the opportunity to go deeply into communities and visit with the various constituencies so that we can fully understand their needs and pressure points. To do anything properly requires a lot of time, thought and compromise."
