Sea Glass Pendant Class - May 21, 2016 11:30 - 2:00

Sea glass is produced from various sized pieces of discarded glass shards, tumbled smooth by salt-water sea waves, rocks and sun over many years. This multi-year tumbling process results in a beautiful one-of-a-kind translucent keepsake piece. Sea glass comes in many colors – with the most common being white, green, and brown.

What you will learn:

• How to prepare your sea glass
• Creating a wire loop to start the project
• Glass wire wrapping techniques to complement natural elements in your piece
• Integrating beads and embellishments into your design

Prerequisite: None

Tools: Supplied in class.

Materials: Two pieces of Sea Glass will be provided and more will be available for purchase. Depending on your design, for the pendant you will need wire-wrapping material (20 or 22 gauge wire wrap), and beads or charms selected to show off the glass. Additionally, you will need materials to complete the necklace, ranging from leather cord, to silk strands, or beads and beading wire.

Class fee is $32. Class runs from 11:30 - 2 on May 21, 2016. Students must register in advanced - either online, in person, or on the phone at (510) 337-1203. Students receive a 10% in store discount from 4 weeks prior to 2 weeks after class.
