Man Killed, Woman Injured After Hitting Big-Rig On 57th Avenue

OAKLAND, CA - A man died and a woman was injured after a vehicle they were in crashed into a parked big-rig early Sunday morning in Oakland, police said.

The first report of the crash came in 1:21 a.m. in the 1300 block of 57th Avenue. The couple’s vehicle went underneath the trailer of the big-rig, Officer J. Moore said.

The man died at the scene and the woman was taken to a hospital, Moore said.
