ALAMEDA, CA — Alameda Police made a traffic stop for a broken license plate light and ended up arresting a man for possession of methamphetamine, marijuana, and hashish for sale, probation violation, and transportation of narcotics with the intent to distribute. His name has not been released.

The traffic stop was made on March 8, but APD released details about the incident on Tuesday.

After stopping the vehicle, officers determined that the passenger was the registered owner of the vehicle, and he was on county probation for possession of narcotics and possession of a firearm.
