Mayor To Host Screening About 'Basic Income' Video
Assemblymember Mia Bonta and guaranteed income program recipients will participate in a discussion following the screening.

ALAMEDA, CA — Alameda Mayor Marilyn Ezzy Ashcraft will be on hand Wednesday as the City of Alameda hosts a screening of the documentary It's Basic, about Guaranteed Basic Income, at 6:30 p.m. at the Alameda Theatre & Cineplex.
Following the film, Mayor Ashcraft will moderate a roundtable discussion with Assemblymember Mia Bonta and guaranteed income program recipients. The recipients will talk about how receiving monthly direct cash payments impacted them.
It's Basic follows guaranteed income recipients from pilots programs across the nation.
This event is free and open to the public.
Alameda Theatre & Cineplex is at 2317 Central Avenue in Alameda.
