Groundhog days
For most covering the event here it was agony everyday one race away from going home . Some left some stayed and wished it over and some like me everyday knew stick to with the Team the will win . I never doubted the Oracle team USA the Super Heroes
of Sailing and USA Sailing to say the least . Sailing will be changed for ever after this Larry Ellison said with Cup over head at the prize giving . Lead by example
Taking from Jimmys dailies statement we can and will win races . We are the Underdogs and we will overcome . Adversity is our friend and we welcome the challenge. Many wrote the USA off but those who stayed those who stuck with there team our team our country's interest honor and for the future of US Sailing won big .
Set Backs
Plagued with wind delays time running out on sailing courses and a Looming Rolex Big Boat regatta this week . The America's cup delivered and delivered big .
Oracles shore crew working on one hour sleep each day retweeked there boat daily with no testing time in between changes were made everyday. Hoping to find the speed the beat the unbeatable Emirates Team NZ . Oracle over came Jury rulings starting two races down . Overcoming the destruction of boat one ,losing a great mate and Sailing legend on Artemis team Andrew Bart Simpson whose death rocked the sailing world . Overcoming negative press daily . And losing half its after guard ,just before the finals began. Spithill and crew showed what most in professional sport thrive to have teamwork and a belief in ones selves alot can be earned from this team and a lot has been gained in Sailing circles and the World . If you weren't here to see it first hand you would or could not believe even watching on TV what was happening .
Mumm Moments
Its taken me two days to regain my thoughts being smack in the middle of this all week and after it I just still cant explain it to its best . Oracle came back and won eight straight races over a week and a half's time with no rest no lay days race to the finish till someone attained that all important ninth win. WHich they did actually twice but because of the International jury . Two races subtracted for the Decision.

So the Golden Gate Yacht Club retains the America's Cup the city of San Francisco
goes down in history books of hosting not only the longest sports event in history ,but the most dynamic and biggest sports history moments of the Century . Whats that worth ? I'd say A Lot and Mr Evil Larry Ellison ? Turns out to be the single largest contributor to cities tax bases travel,hotel and restaurants as well .
Not to mention SAILING , SPORT, HISTORY and the 34th America's Cup
