Missing Alameda Woman With Dementia Found Safe

A citizen found Moss and cared for her until officers arrived.

ALAMEDA, CA — A 73-year-old woman with dementia has been found safe after she went missing from a nursing home in Alameda early Monday morning, according to police.

Roberta Moss was last seen in the early morning hours at the Crown Bay Nursing & Rehabilitation Center at 508 Westline Drive, police said.

As of 9:14 a.m., Moss had been located safely and returned to the nursing and rehabilitation center thanks to a citizen who located Moss and cared for her until officers arrived, according to police.
