• Homeless Man Found Safe Following Alameda Fire (sfist.com) — A homeless man feared missing after a fire at a vacant building on the former Alameda Naval Air Station has been found safe and uninjured, easing concerns for neighbors. The early-Thursday blaze destroyed the derelict Rainbow Court structure near Almanac Beer Co., marking the second major fire in abandoned base buildings in four years as investigators probe the cause.
