Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck By Car in Alameda
Police say a 65-year-old Alameda resident was crossing Constitution Way when he was hit by a southbound vehicle in the right hand lane.

A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle in Alameda this afternoon, police said. The crash was reported at 12:03 p.m. in the vicinity of Constitution Way and Marina Village Parkway.
A 65-year-old Alameda resident was crossing Constitution Way when he was hit by a southbound vehicle in the right hand lane, according to police. The man was pronounced dead at the scene by the Alameda Fire Department, police said.
Police have issued an announcement asking drivers to avoid southbound Constitution Way when exiting the Posey Tube while investigators remain on the scene.
