My sister texted me early this morning asking if I would go with her and my mother to get some stuff for her baby (she's eight months pregnant with her second). I agreed and a little after twelve they came with my two year old niece Gracie and picked me and my daughter up.
After spending two hours in Wal-Mart and another hour in McDonald's we had finally made it to K-Mart. Me and my mom seeing a sale on bras decided to try some on. Since taking two toddlers and three adults into a dressing room seemed a bit much we asked my sister to stay with the kids.
This proved to be too much as we made it out in time to see my sister smacking my nieces hand for trying to open a box that was in the cart. Let me just tell you if that would have been my kid I would have hit her so hard she would have felt it for days.
However since it wasn't my daughter but my niece I quickly stepped between them picking up my niece to comfort her as my mother explained that we don't smack the girls ever.
Now in my own opinion how one chooses to discipline their child is none of my business but I believe that choosing to discipline someone else's child is just wrong and not your place.
I've never let anyone discipline Hayden except me unless I left her with someone else over night or for a few hours and then I leave them with instructions on how to punish her.
SO I know if I was my brother and I found out what happened I would be making darn sure it never happened again.....!
