Plan Out Your Daily Skin Care Routine

As a woman in my 30's I've made it a point to spend those 10 minutes in the morning and 10 minutes before bed to treat my skin. If done properly, you should only have to spend 20 minutes per day on your skin.

I can't count how many times someone has asked me for help with their skin because they're not quite sure what they should be doing for it. I became an esthetician to help people with their skin problems, so it's something that I enjoy doing.

Skin care doesn't end when you leave my treatment room. That's great that you came in for a facial, but you need to come up with a home care plan. Having a routine that you can follow will give you the optimal skin care results that you are looking for.

Here's an example of my routine:

MORNING

Cleanse: I use the Derma E Firming Cleanser with DMAE, Alpha Lipoic and C-Ester. I cleanse away oil and makeup while supporting visibly firmer skin with this exclusive treatment cleanser. The formula contains skin-firming DMAE, antioxidants Alpha Lipoic Acid and C-Ester, soothing Lemon Grass, Chamomile, natural astringents Horsetail and Horse Chestnut to be gentle on skin while encouraging healthy tone and texture. I usually do two cleanses.

Toner: Next, I use the Derma E Soothing Toner with Pycnogenol. I restore my
skin’s pH balance, close pores and prep skin for moisturizer or treatment with this gentle, fragrance-free, alcohol-free toner. Anti-aging antioxidants Pycnogenol® and Green Tea protect skin while you tone. Chamomile and Aloe calm and soothe skin.

After toning my skin, it's time to hydrate and protect it.

Serum: I use the Derma E Soothing Serum with Pycnogenol®. This product contains anti-aging Pycnogenol®, a powerful antioxidant shown to reduce redness while soothing irritated or sensitive skin. A complex of therapeutic botanicals such as Canadian Willowherb™, Olive, Arnica and Calendula helps reduce blotchiness, flare-ups and discomfort. Excellent for sensitive skin, rosacea, or anywhere skin is red or irritated to promote healthy skin tone, and a cool, calm and moisturized complexion.

Eye Crème: Even if you think you're too young for eye crème, it's never too early to start. I love the Derma E Deep Wrinkle Reverse Eye Crème with Peptides. This product will visibly smooth the appearance of even the deepest lines, wrinkles and crow's feet with this revolutionary double-action eye crème that contains two of the most powerful and effective peptides that bio-science has to offer. Peptide Matrixyl® synthe'6® tells the skin to synthesize new key components such as collagen and to restructure itself. Peptide Argireline® helps relax facial muscles, smooth wrinkles, and discourage the formation of new lines. Enriched with antioxidants Green Tea and Pycnogenol®, this significantly advanced antiaging formula defends, soothes and helps reduce signs of aging for more youthful, radiant eyes.

Moisturizer: Using a moisturizer that contains SPF 15 (or higher) is so important. This will thoroughly hydrate, revitalize and protect skin from UVA/UVB damage with this antioxidant-rich lotion. Infused with tropical Tamanu, Pomegranate, Green Tea and Aloe plus Vitamins C and E, this lightweight, moisturizing formula provides essential nutrients and free radical defense for soft, smooth, well-nourished skin.

All of this should take no more than 10-15 minutes in the morning. After doing this, I usually do my make-up and I'm ready for the day.

EVENING

Cleanse: Same cleanser as above. Cleanse twice. Once to remove surface dirt, oil, and make-up. Second time to get down to the surface.

Exfoliate: I only exfoliate my skin twice per week. This is usually done in the evening before bed, because I like to follow up with a soothing mask. I use the Derma A Exfoliating Scrub with Fruit Enzymes. Exfoliating the skin deeply cleanses and purges impurities from every pore with this unique natural exfoliating scrub. Dead Sea Salt combines with Papaya, Cornmeal and Apricot Seed Powder to safely exfoliate away dull surface cells, sebum and impurities, leaving skin fresh and healthy looking.

Toner: After exfoliating, I use the toner. See above.

Mask: To calm my skin down and firm it after exfoliating, I use a mask. This is only done once or twice per week. I use the Derma E Exfoliating Mask with Fruit Enzymes. Masking will deep clean your skin, detoxify pores and lift away excess sebum with this rich exfoliating treatment mask. Dead Sea Salt and Fruit Enzymes help slough away dull, lifeless surface cells. Bentonite and Kaolin Clay absorb unwanted oil and purge impurities from every pore. Green Tea and Sea Kelp help purify and balance skin's healthful appearance.

Toner: See above.

Serum: Used nightly. See above.

Eye Crème: Used nightly. See above.

Moisturizer: At night, before bed, we don't need a moisturizer with an SPF. Instead, I use a thicker crème to moisturize my skin. I like the Derma E Age-Defying Night Crème with Astaxanthin. This product will reverse the visible signs of aging, diminish the look of skin irregularities and soothe irritation while you sleep! It contains two of the strongest antioxidants for topical application: Astaxanthin is 500 times more powerful than Vitamin E in neutralizing free radicals, and Pycnogenol® is 50 times more potent than Vitamin E in fighting free radical damage. Together, these powerful antioxidants are infused into this high-potency nighttime moisturizer that helps diminish the look of fine lines and wrinkles, promotes visible recovery from environmental stresses and promotes a smoother, more youthful complexion.

All products that I use are 100% vegan, cruelty-free, paraben-free, sulfate-free, mineral oil-free, lanolin-free, gluten free, GMO-free.
