Realtors Bowl for Affordable Housing In Alameda

The Realtors raised $3,700 for affordable housing in Alameda.

ALAMEDA, CA — The cause of affordable housing in Alameda has an extra $3,700, thanks to a fundraising effort by Realtors. They held a bowling fundraiser at the AMF Southshore Lanes to support the California Association of Realtors Housing Affordability Fund (HAF). More than 75 real estate professionals participated.

"For many years, Realtors have supported housing affordability programs and projects at the local, state and national levels," said Anne McKereghan, a member of the Bay East Association of Realtors Board of Directors. "This bowling tournament is part of other efforts, including volunteering for Habitat for Humanity and working with policy makers and stakeholders to help them understand the importance of housing for all levels of affordability. Realtors are dedicated to providing housing opportunities for all."

The Alameda Bay East Chapter has used HAF resources to sponsor the Buena Vista Commons eight-unit Habitat for Humanity affordable housing project.
