"SHADOWS" a new show at popUp Gallery

popUp Gallery returns to the Bay Area art scene with an exciting new exhibition entitled – "Shadows". Opening Reception August 14, 6PM-9PM

Reception: during Second Friday Estuary Art Walk August 14, 6PM to 9PM, at 1517 Park Street in Alameda, CA

PopUp gallery’s new show features eight artists whose work represents bold interpretations of the theme. Their work includes beautifully rendered light and shadows in the landscape and richly layered sculptures that contain and cast their own shadows. Going well past literal depictions of light and shadow, the work leads viewers beyond the expected into mysteriously abstract scenes captured through the lens and brings us to the edge of the precarious world of those who must live in the shadows.
