Shoulder Savvy: Strengthen, Stretch, & Stabilize
All-levels Yoga Tune Up® workshop to floss through the entire shoulder joint, creating mobility and reinforcing stability and strength.
Strong, supple shoulders are a key element in many common yoga poses, as well as in everyday life activities. In this three-hour workshop, appropriate for all levels and abilities, we will explore this complex joint in all of its directions of movement. While habitual poor alignment can create pain and cause injury, we can retrain our shoulders to move well. This Yoga Tune Up® workshop will guide you through playful and challenging techniques, using functional movement strategies, that will create spaciousness in the shoulder joint, increase your range of motion, and show you how to align yourself with consistency and precision. You will learn take-home strategies to strengthen your weak areas and stretch your tight areas, while gaining a new appreciation for this vital joint. ($35 in advance, $40 at the door)
