Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter (FAAS) has more than 60 available pets waiting for their new homes. To help these animals go home, FAAS has two adoption specials in August: every Friday is Free Adoption Day, and during the rest of the week, you can adopt two kittens or cats for the price of one. FAAS is located at 1590 Fortmann Way. The shelter is open Wednesdays from 11AM-7PM, and Thursdays-Sundays 11AM-5PM.
