Sunset Over San Francisco Bay: Photo Of The Day
The setting sun above the Golden Gate Bridge casts a golden glow over the bay.

ALAMEDA, CA — Claus Weisemann has shared a new photo snapped from the air, showing a golden sunset over San Francisco Bay. Sometimes it's good to see the bay from above to appreciate its scope.
According to the state Bay Conservation and Development Commission, "The Bay is approximately 550 square miles, which is larger than all but nine cities in the United States. It is almost 20 percent larger than the City of Los Angeles and is larger than the combined sizes of San Diego and San Jose. Nine counties and over 40 cities touch Bay waters."
Thank you for the glimpse from the sky, Claus!
