I walked into Harbor Bay Safeway Saturday morning like I normally do. On this trip to get my groceries for the week, I was surprised and very inspired by seeing four little ones holding up signs and handing out flyers. They were eagerly approaching People including myself as we all walked in, representing the Alameda food bank, Spreading Holliday cheer, and collecting donations.
Tis The Season of remembering how important it is to give to those that are much more in need then ourselves. May this time of people outpouring gifts to others continue to be something we do all the time. May we continue to be so giving and help each other out not only at this time of the year, but everyday of the year!
Let the little ones lead the way and remind us all that it only takes a little time, love, and a donation of $10.00 to help make a difference at someones table this Thanksgiving.
I know there were Probably many events happening in Alameda on Saturday, But in my opinion I would have to say I am so happy I stumbled upon this one!!
I love the city of Alameda, and I am so proud to be a member of such an awesome community. Happy Thanksgiving to All!!
