Thief Targeting Alameda Boating Community Arrested: Police

Police made the arrest last month of a Hayward man.

ALAMEDA, CA — The Alameda Police Department arrested a theft suspect last month following a string of robberies targeting high-valued equipment within the boating community.

The first theft was reported in May.

Detectives and Marine Patrol Officers worked together analyzing physical and electronic evidence to identify a suspect.

A 29 year-old Hayward resident was arrested in the 1800 block of Sakas Street.
